Connection to self: A Philosophy Yoga Workshop

A day of practices, talks and Q&A, to explore the yogic teachings on truth (satya), to help you reconnect with yourself and your inner sense of truth.

Time & Location

12 Sept 2026, 10:00 – 16:30

Admin Building, Lewiston Mill, Brimscombe, Stroud GL5 2TE, UK

About the event

An immersive Yoga Philosophy Day Workshop to feed the mind of curiosity, including a nourishing lunch and sweet treat.

This special workshop combines gentle yoga practice with guided reflection and philosophical enquiry. Yoga philosophy is rich in ideas on how to live a more balanced life. More often than not it is reduced to Asana, a movement practice. In this workshop we explore more than physical movements and dive into the teachings behind connection to self as a mental wellness practice that cultivates presence in daily life.

Through movement, stillness, and open discussion, we’ll consider how the ideas of Karma (action) and Dharma (purpose) can support authentic living and bring about balance. You’ll be encouraged to listen inwardly, speak from honesty, and strengthen the link between reflection and empowered action in daily life.

This is a space for both rest and renewal: an opportunity to ground yourself, find clarity, and realign with your own authenticity and self. We will pair together both practices and knowledge so that the wisdom of the teachings can be imbued into a daily practice, not just on the mat but in the way you relate with the world and others.

Expect ample time for discussion with Sudhir, with the chance to listen, be heard and ask questions to help deepen your understanding. Sudhir is known to support his students with podcasts and personal guidance even after the course. He does this free as a good karma and as a labour of love.
