Music & Mantra
My intrinsic rhythm and connection to my breath is a gift of my musical upbringing. I learnt to express myself without the need for words through experimenting with both my voice and musical instruments.
200 hour Ashtanga & Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher
My Practice has evolved to become an act of gratitude to myself, the people in my life, and the world we live in. Combined with my connection to music and rhythm, yoga is an empowering channel of expression.
My first yoga class was in 2004 in my living room with ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell on the TV screen. In later years the meaning of yoga changed from a fitness activity to becoming my release from busy days as an Event Sustainability Professional.
About 6 years ago my yoga ‘routine’ became more regular and dedicated; some would call me an Ashtangi that playfully explored other yoga styles and classes. I realised that yoga was not just about the fitness and mental release, it had become a way of life.
2017 was the year that things changed!!
I moved to Suryalila Yoga Retreat in Southern Spain for 3 months, then travelled to where it all started, India, to complete my 200 hour Ashtanga & Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) at Sampoorna Yoga, Goa. Since then I have assisted on 3 YTT Courses in India and continue to travel & teach, drawing inspiration from the innovative range of international teachers I’m training with.
